Biocsol 1 is a novel biopesticide formulation (SL) developed for the control of the potato late blight. Based on characterized microbial substances this new product has a direct action against Phytophthora infestans.
BiocSol 1 has been developed in a context where late blight remains the most significant potato disease, with growers typically applying 10 to 14 treatments each season. On top of that, an increasing number of conventional pesticides against Phytophthora infestans are being banned. In this environment, BiocSol 1 serves a dual purpose: as part of an integrated pest management (IPM) program, it can replace or associate with several conventional and biological crop protection applications alleviating their environmental pressure while offering farmers an innovative new tool to fight late blight.
